What does the retention level mean?
Safariland grades duty holsters by the number of independent locking mechanisms between the pistol and anyone who isn’t the officer wearing it. This model is Level III — three independent retention mechanisms, each one released naturally during a trained draw.
Can I carry with a weapon light mounted?
No — this shell is cut for the FN FNS 40 without a rail-mounted light. If you run a light on duty, look for the light-bearing version of this series instead.
