Description

Model 7115 Vanguard: tensioned retention, mid-ride manners

The Vanguard takes the classic thumb-snap duty holster and molds tension strips right into the interior — so the shell itself grips the pistol before the snap ever comes into play. Mid-ride position, jacket-slot belt loop, built to take hard duty.

Why it earns belt space

  • Molded-in tension strips. The interior grips the pistol on its own; the thumb snap is the second layer, not the only one.
  • Mid-ride, jacket-slot loop. Carries at the natural draw height and lets a duty jacket tuck behind the belt loop cleanly.
  • AccuMold durability. Weatherproof molded construction that keeps its shape and finish through daily wear.
  • Service-pistol fits. Molded for full-size duty autos — Beretta 92/96 Vertec and S&W 1006 among the listed fits.

Who runs it

Uniformed officers on classic double-action service pistols who want tensioned retention plus a snap, without moving to an internal-lock system.

Common questions

What does the jacket slot do?

It lets the tail of a duty jacket pass behind the belt loop, so the holster stays tight to the belt with the jacket squared away over it.

How does retention work without a locking system?

Tension strips molded into the shell grip the pistol continuously, and the thumb snap adds a deliberate release on top.

Will it fit a newer striker-fired pistol?

Its molds are for the listed classic service autos — for Glock/M&P-era duty guns, the 6360 or 7360 lines are the fit.
