Does it need a break-in period?
No. The shell is molded to the firearm, so retention is set by the locking hardware rather than friction — fit is correct out of the box.
Is this an approved duty holster?
It’s a Level II retention design of the type worn by patrol officers nationwide; approval always rests with your agency’s uniform and equipment policy.
