About 5.11 Tactical
5.11 began as rock climber Royal Robbins’ 1968 Modesto apparel company — the pant rated for a 5.11-grade climb became the FBI Academy’s issue trousers, and in 2003 Dan Costa built the tactical brand around that legacy.
