Holster Accessories
The hardware that puts a holster where it needs to be: belt loops and paddles, drop adapters, leg shrouds, quick-locking forks and receiver plates, MOLLE adapters, hood and ALS guards, belt-width adaptors, shoulder straps and tie-downs. Mostly Safariland, because Safariland holster bodies share a three-hole mounting pattern and the mounts interchange; also Blackhawk, Gould & Goodrich, Galco, Strong Leather, Aker, Eleven 10 and Byrna.
Decide the ride first, then the mount. Belt-level carry is a UBL or a paddle. Lower, to clear armor and seats, is a drop adapter. Thigh carry is a leg shroud. Moving one holster between belt, vehicle and plate carrier is the QLS fork and receiver plate. Holsters themselves are under Duty Holsters and Tactical Holsters.

Matching the mount to the job
Belt loops and paddles. The Universal Belt Loop (UBL) is the standard Safariland duty mount: hi-ride or mid-ride, cut for a 2.25-inch belt, with the CUBL adding cant. The 566BL, 567BL and 568BL are the lighter concealment and injection-molded options for the same three-hole pattern; 744BL and 745BL clip on without unthreading the belt. Blackhawk's mid-ride and jacket-slot loops and heavy-duty paddle fit Blackhawk duty holsters. If the belt is narrower than 2.25 inches, the BWA belt width adaptor shims the loop instead of replacing it.
Drop adapters and shrouds. The 6281HDA drop adapter lowers a belt-mounted holster to clear an outer carrier or a vehicle seat. Leg shrouds (6004 single strap, 6005 double strap, 6009 with D-ring, the 110-series lightweight versions) move the holster to the thigh; the Drop Flex Adapter (DFA) lets a shroud ride higher and flex. Quick-release leg straps and thigh plates are sold as upgrades and as replacements.
Quick locking. QLS is a fork on the holster and a receiver plate on each mount, so one holster moves between duty belt, patrol vehicle and plate carrier in seconds. MLS is the same idea for MOLLE. Agencies that issue one holster per officer and more than one platform should budget a QLS 19 fork per holster and a QLS 22 plate per position. Blackhawk's Quick Disconnect kit is the equivalent for Blackhawk holsters.
Retention upgrades. The 6006 and 6007 guards shield the ALS lever and the SLS hood from a grab; the 6008 does both; the 6001 Sentry adds a manual lock. These bolt onto existing holsters and are the usual answer when policy raises the retention requirement without a holster change.
Everything else. MOLLE adapters (TMA), chest rig, hardware and spacer kits, shoulder straps and tie-downs for shoulder rigs, tuckable clips for concealment holsters, and Byrna launcher mounts.
Procurement notes
Many Safariland duty holsters ship with a belt loop and no drop; check the included-hardware line on the holster listing before quoting, and add the mount as its own line.
