Every key here fits the standard handcuff lock used by Peerless, Smith & Wesson, ASP and Hiatt, with one exception: the S&W Model 104 high-security cuff takes its own key. Choosing handcuff keys and tools
Standard keys. The flat key that ships with the cuffs, from Peerless, Smith & Wesson, ASP and ZAK Tool. Cheapest spare; stock them by the dozen. The Peerless oversize key is the same key with a bigger grip.
Pocket and swivel keys. ZAK Tool's Pocket Key and Round Swivel Key are the most-ordered items in this section: a short key with a grip that works gloved and clips to a ring. ASP Swivel S1 and S2, Guardian and the ASP Clip key are the same idea. The Safariland slotted key is the slim option.
Corrections and extended keys. The ZAK Tool ZT90 5-inch key and the carbon-fiber extension tools reach a lock through a cuff port or a transport chain without bringing the hand close. Standard issue for transport and intake posts.
High-security. Smith & Wesson Model 104 cuffs use a separate key; ZAK makes a swivel version. Keep them apart from standard keys in inventory.
Covert and belt systems. Covert keys, the Safariland HK-11 Hide-A-Keyper (a belt keeper with a hidden cuff key), ZAK belt-clip systems and key-ring belt holders, and Nite-Ize S-Biner key racks for the duty belt.
Tools and bulk. ZAK combo keys with a window punch, the Monadnock safety cutter for disposable restraints, 12- and 24-piece key displays from ASP for the quartermaster's drawer, and the Peerless PSC60 60-inch security chain.
Procurement notes
